Kendall was our very first Therapist, our first glance into early intervention. She never saw Spencer as just another child that needed speech, she looked at our family as a whole and saw what worked best for us. It wasn't one size fits all and that is really what we needed and Spencer needed. I watched as this bond between my child and this wonderful stranger grew. Then my bond with this amazing woman grew. She was there to tell me it was ok, he was ok. When you first enter the world of special needs it can be scary and overwhelming but if you have an amazing person like Kendall to help guide you it makes all the difference. At the end not only was Kendall a guide through this new world that I was just thrown into she was a friend. I don't think Spencer would be this charismatic funny always has answer for everything kind of kid if he had been for Kendall. She let him be him and worked our family into what he needed.
